Content / Overview:
If you like the hands-on approach to learning, this course will provide you with the opportunity to gain the skills you need to kick-start your career and a nationally recognised qualification. The course is delivered by well qualified, enthusiastic and friendly IT/computing teachers and offers a clear route into employment or Higher Education. Study is work-related and addresses the key knowledge and practical skills required in the IT/computing sector. The main focus is on software development, but the course also encompasses communications technology, computer systems and website development. It is equivalent to two A Levels and is a full-time course comprising 12 units. Assessment is based on coursework, enabling you to achieve the specific learning goals set out by the exam board.

Delivery Method:
A 'hands-on' course using the colleges up to date ICT facilities.

Assessment:
Coursework.

Progression:
Computing degree or careers as a technician or programmer.
