Whilst studying for the Extended Diploma in Information Technology, you must achieve the Mandatory Units, a combination of Optional Units. Mandatory Units are: Communication and Employability Skills for IT Computer Systems Information Systems. Optional Units are: Impact of the Use of IT on Business Systems Managing Networks Database Design Digital Graphics Organisational Security Spreadsheet Modelling Interactive Media Authoring. Level 3 Extended Projects aim to support you in the transition to Higher Education or into the world of work by acquiring practical skills. Throughout your in-depth study, you will develop and apply skills creatively, resulting in one of the three following project outcomes: a dissertation, an investigation or an artifact.
