What are the main features of this course?
This is a full-time one year course. Students will work individually and in small groups. The emphasis is on developing an understanding of the use of information using new technology. Most of the course is done in a practical way, on computers. Computer skills and experience in standard applications are covered.

How is the course assessed?
7 assignments.

Who should study this course?
2 GCSE grade D including English together with 2 GCSE at grade E or BTEC Introductory with an overall MERIT grade, Communication Key Skills Level 1 and a good report. No previous knowledge of computers is needed. The syllabus has been written so that it should appeal equally to female and male students.

Where can I go next?
Students can progress to OCR Extended National Diploma in IT (Creative).. Eventually this can lead on to Higher Education or employment as an IT technician, and other jobs in the IT field
