This course aims to prepare you for the GCSE examination higher tier and to consolidate and extend your existing skills in Italian.

Course material will be provided by the tutor. Please bring writing material and a folder/ringbinder for the hand-outs.
The course is based on the communicative approach:
- active students’ interaction
- emphasis on speaking and listening skills
- pair and group work
- role plays
- use of realia, pictures and authentic material
- use of audio-visual techniques when appropriate
Students are expected to participate in oral classroom activities and to do approximately 30 minutes homework per week.

Grammar: emphasis on past tenses, pronouns and prepositions; understanding and limited use of conditional and subjunctive.
