This short course will introduce you to basic concepts of diet and nutrition. You will explore the food pyramid, diet planning,as well as the digestive system and how nutrients affect energy levels, health and disease. Specific nutritional requirements and diet modifications for different age groups, disease prevention, weight control and well-being, etc. will also be covered.
The course will show you how to apply this knowledge in practice by giving clients clear, no-nonsense advice in an attempt to steer them safely through the minefield of the information being given at present.

About this course
The objective of this course is to enable complementary therapists to expand their practice by being able to include dietary advice to their clients. The course aims to equip you in the compulsory as well as extracurricular knowledge, tools and techniques to help you become a successful nutritional advisor.
This Diploma course is designed for all Complementary Medicine Therapists wishing to bring more income to their practice while educating their clients and leading them to a healtheir lifestyle.
Diet & Nutrition for Complementary Medicine Therapists is open to all qualified therapists.
On successful completion of the required case studies and passing the ITEC exam you will be able to refer to yoursef as a Nutritional Advisor (ITEC)
