Job hunting success

This course is designed for people leaving education and looking for their first job or apprenticeship or people who have been out of employment for a while and want to get back into a full time position. It takes you through some of the things you should be doing in order to position yourself in the best way to apply for, successfully gain and start a new career.

CV writing

This course is designed for people who are getting ready to apply for their first job or apprenticeship who need some guidance about how to structure a CV and how to make the most of the skills and experience they already have. It is also suitable for someone who is looking to get back into work after a break and wants to know what to include on their CV and the best way to put it together.

The course contains some templates you can adapt with your own details and advice on how to word your CV to showcase your skills, achievements and qualifications whilst avoiding generic statements and buzzwords, which are seen on so many CVs.

It will also outline what can be included in a cover letter and will show you how to use the job brief to put together your letter to help you stand the best chance of getting an interview.
