About the course
Are you aged between 14 and 16 with an interest in social media and all things digital? Maybe you’re an aspiring Youtube star who wants to turn their passion into a career? City College Plymouth runs a Junior Digital Marketing Academy that can help you prepare for a career in the ever-expanding digital marketing industry. It will help you explore the differences between traditional and digital marketing, how brands are created and promoted, how to use social media to inform and entertain, and how it is all done through the pocket technology that we carry with us every day. For six weeks, you’ll learn to become a digital marketer and pitch your idea to a den of dragons!

What you'll learn
Working in our newly-built Regional Centre of Excellence for Science, Engineering, Technology and Maths, you’ll find out what goes in to creating great content for social media and how to use it to convey your messages and build brand value. You’ll look at different methods of digital marketing and how they can be used alongisde traditional advertising to create a wide-reaching campaign. Working in a team, you will assume the role of a digital marketing agency and pitch an idea to the College’s very own den of dragons.
