About this course

Should you wish to pursue your interest in Kathak, you would need to purchase ‘ghungaroos’ (ankle bells). Kathak is performed bare-footed in order to make good sound and grip the floor.
Women: Leggings and a long ‘kurta’ or loose fitting flared shirt to just above the knees. No jeans or baggy trousers please.
Men: Comfortable trousers and ‘kurta’ or loose fitting shirt. No jeans or baggy trousers please.

In this practical and dynamic class, you will be taught Kathak dance through explanation, demonstration, correction, copying, repetition & revision. As part of the course content, your tutor may record your image for initial and ongoing assessment purposes. You are entitled to decline to participate in the recording of your image.
