Description
In the mid to late 1960’s the advent of computer technology created a step change in the way large organizations processed data. Office workers had to develop new skills - many of which were repetitive in nature. The advantages that computerisation offered were limited by the speed and accuracy of the operator/user. It was in response to this new way of working that Key was established in 1965, offering training to the user/operator that improved speed and accuracy of data processing and also in work practices and procedures to improve their health, well-being and safety in the workplace.
