What will I learn?

In year two, students will study three further units and can expect to achieve BTEC level 3 Subsidiary Diploma which is equivalent to one GCE A Level The first year provides a foundation for study for three additional units in year two which will be Homicide, Police Powers of Arrest and detention, Property Offences (Theft & Robbery, Burglary, Fraud and Criminal damage) and will further develop Civil liability in the law of Tort and will examine such issues as psychiatric damage through a case study of the Hillsborough Disaster and Occupiers Liability for premises By the end of each unit students will be able to analyse given scenarios around a crime or negligence scene and apply the law to it

How will I be assessed?

The three units this year are not subject to single date examination but are graded by way of assessment, based on the achievement of specified learning outcomes Student's work, properly submitted and within timescales, can be graded at Distinction, Merit or Pass grade

Course Fees
