Course programme

The course is designed to teach you three main themes:

The first is the process by which management can plan for change. The second is the role of management in leading the process of change. The third is the role of management in the implementation of the plan for change.

This course will:
  • enhance your understanding of the management theories relating to the management of change
  • improve your ability to provide practical advice on how to manage organisational change

Through the coursework you will learn to:

  • plan for change and develop approaches and strategies to lead others through a period of change
  • develop skills and techniques in leadership and team building
  • tackle change in a positive manner and avoid the pitfalls which can derail change programmes — even well intentioned ones
  • analyse different approaches to leadership and to think about how you could apply these to your own leadership approach – in particular, you can relate it to techniques of team building and consider how you can use these to develop your effectiveness as a team leader.
