Course programme
A total of 10 units need to be completed, 4 of which are core (mandatory) units. Candidates then need to select an additional 4 units out of a total of 27 optional units.
Candidates are assessed in the workplace whilst working directly with individuals and colleagues. Our assessor will help them plan and gather a portfolio of evidence of their daily routines. We will also support the candidate in identifying any training needs they have to enable them to produce evidence of knowledge and learning. Methods of assessment will include work based observations conducted by our assessor, and may also include testimony from witnesses including colleagues and professionals, documented discussions and questioning with our assessor, project work and reflective accounts.
All candidates registered for and working towards their award with us are entitled to attend, free of charge, all mandatory training (e.g. First Aid, Health and Safety) provided by JRCS Training. Where deemed appropriate and necessary as a result of a skills scan conducted by our assessor, candidates can also attend, free of charge, any supplemental training provided within our programme.
