Course programme
You will develop skills in social science research methodology, academic writing, research and critical thinking. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills in teamwork, discussion, organisation and time management.
Learning is through a mix of formal sessions, tutorials and guided study/research. Assessment is through case studies, essays, oral presentation and portfolios. There are no examinations.
The BA (Hons) Learning and Teaching Studies course will equip you with a range of skills including written and verbal presentation, evaluation skills, team and individual working and time management – all highly valued by employers.
What you will studyThere are 120 HE6 credits which comprise four modules chosen from:
Mentoring: Concepts, Theories and Strategies;
Philosophy of Education;
The Illusion of Inclusion;
Management in Education;
Investigating the English Language.
In addition you will complete a dissertation on a topic of your choice.
