This qualification is designed to provide you with a broad knowledge
of legal theory and practice that is required in todays corporate and
legal environment. It is made up of two legal qualifications: a National
Award in Applied Law and a Diploma in Paralegal studies. This will provide you with the knowledge of a range of matters including criminal, civil and the common law and a range of legal processes used in the world of work.

The course will provide you with an insight into a real-life legal environment and give you the opportunity to experience situations you will meet in legal employment. You will develop problem solving and team-working skills throughout the course which are highly valued by employers. There will be the opportunity to undertake a work placement at a major legal firm in Bristol during your course and workrelated visits to legal and business establishments will also be included.

A work-related assignment will be used to assess your performance.

This course can be your pathway to a career in any office-based work with opportunities to enhance your career prospects by studying on other courses on a part-time basis or you may decide to continue onto the Professional Level 3 Diploma course.
Some of our past students have worked in a variety of offices
including, solicitors firms, banks, estate agents and insurance. Some are studying further law courses and other courses whilst working full-time in office based careers.

Achieving this course will give you the equivalent of 3 A Levels and provide entry to study degree level courses.
