Description of the Course
This course is designed for those who need to comply with Part P of the buildings regulations and prove that they are competent to carry out electrical work in dwellings.This qualification will allow candidates to become members of a competent persons scheme.
Course content
The course comprises of 17 units and delivers those skills required to carry out domestic installation work in accordance with standard circuit arrangements, inspection and testing of newly installed installataion work to meet the requirements of BS 7671(IEE Wiring Regulations).

External and Internal Assessment processes.
Who is the course for?
This 12 week course is designed for those who wish to become a domestic electrical installer and meet the requirements of the competent persons scheme but do not have any previous electrical qualification. People who are new to the industry, those who are wishing to learn new skills or looking for a career change.
Entry requirements
There are no pre entry requirements for candidates choosing this qualificataion, however candidates should be aware that it is a level 2 qualification and as such will require the appropriate numeracy and literacy skills.
