Level 2 Certificate in ESOL

Brit College offers a broad range of subjects. Our programmes encompass Business Administration, Law, Social Sciences, English Language and Computer Science. We also offer foundation (access route) courses to successfully progress onto the main programme . These programmes will help students to develop the transferable skills they will needfor their future career.

Structure of the Qualification:

The EDI Certificate in ESOL (Skills for Life) Level 2 will be awarded to candidates who successfully complete the learning outcomes and assessments for the following:

• Unit 1 Speaking and Listening
• Unit 2 Reading (by National Literacy Test Level 2)
• Unit 3 Writing

Candidates can complete, and receive recognition for individual units and they can also progress to the full Certificate in ESOL (Skills for Life) Level 2 qualification on successful achievement of the 3 compulsory units for this qualification.

Unit 2 Reading

In a wide range of text types:

2.1 Recognize and understand language and structures at text level

In a wide range of documents

3.1 Employ written language and structures at text level
3.2 Apply written language at sentence level
3.3 Apply written language at word level
