Level 2 Diploma in Building Maintenance Apprenticeship (Yr 1 of 2)

A motivated and keen student will gain knowledge of many building methods and learn a range of practical skills including plastering, painting, brickwork, carpentry, and plumbing. Students will study the essential skills of health & safety and methods of calculating and ordering of building materials. The qualification taught will be a diploma level 2. You will be assessed continually through the completion of practical tasks, projects and workbooks. Each unit will be completed by coursework, oral examination, practical and written examination. There will also be an online knowledge test to be taken at the end of the course. You will be given the opportunity to learn the hand skills to carry out various practical tasks. You will also be taught skills to help communicate within the industry, how to calculate quantities and health & safety.You will be assessed continually through the completion of practical tasks, projects and workbooks.
