Level 2 Extended Certificate in Skills for Production Arts

You will gain skills in a range of on-stage and back-stage roles. In additional to movement, acting and musical theatre you will explore technical roles such as lighting and set design as well as business skills required to run box office and promotion. Through this broad experience you will be able to choose a career pathway in either performance or production or a combination of the two at level 3. You will also complete either GCSEs or Functional Skills Maths and/or English at Level 2.

Course content includes four compulsory core units that must be studied as part of the course:
Working in the Performing Arts Industry
Professional Development in the Performing Arts Industry
Performing Arts Production Process and Acting Skills and Techniques.
You will also develop skills in Dance, Musical Theatre Performance, Performing Scripted Plays etc.
