As this is an introduction to counselling, we will teach an overview of Person Centred Counselling, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt and a problem solving model, so you will in fact have an understanding of 4 different theories. We aim to teach you how to communicate more effectively by using all of the counselling skills a qualified counsellor uses. You will experience personal development by evaluating your own values and attitudes to people and life in general , and at this level we do not expect you to have had any previous training or personal therapy. The introduction to the different theories will help you to recognise the differences between which theory and technique works well with differing issues.

This course is suitable for anyone who wishes to advance their communications and wish to add to their existing ongoing professional development. It is also ideal for the start of your journey in the counselling profession. You will meet like minded individuals, and gain an accredited certificate once you have successfully completed this course.
