LEVEL 2 NVQ DIPLOMA IN TROWEL OCCUPATIONS (CONSTRUCTION)

This qualification covers the following areas:

• Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
• Conforming to productive working practices in the workplace
• Moving, handling and storing resources in the workplace
• Erecting masonry structures in the workplace
• Setting out masonry structures in the workplace
• Conserving or restoring stonemasonry, brickwork or earthen structures in the workplace
• Preparing and mixing lime mortars in the workplace
• Erecting masonry cladding in the workplace
• Erecting thin joint masonry structures in the workplace
• Placing and finishing non-specialist concrete in the workplace
• Maintaining slate and tile roofing in the workplace
• Repairing and maintaining masonry structures in the workplace
• Producing internal solid plastering finishes in the workplace
• Applying solid render to background surfaces and producing finishes in the workplace
• Installing drainage in the workplace

This qualification may be available through colleges, training providers or employers in England and Wales.

As this is a competence-based qualification, learners will be acquiring the knowledge and skills required through either on-the-job experience or in a learning environment.

This qualification has a range of pathways linked to typical job roles that learners will encounter within the industry.

To achieve the whole qualification learners need a minimum of 730 credits. They must complete between five and seven mandatory units plus one optional unit. See qualification content and delivery tools section for more information.
