The programme is full time for one year if you are completing the 90 Credit Diploma in Hospitality and for two years if you are completing the Extended Diploma in Hospitality, starting in September and ending June/July.

Course programme

This exciting qualification is ideal for anyone interested in working in this expanding sector. The programme recognises the growing importance and role that hospitality plays throughout the UK and globally and is aimed at those who have the motivation, attitude and drive to develop their career in this sector, with a particular focus on careers in hotels, restaurants, events and food and beverage service.

The programme will improve personal learning and thinking skills, including confidence in your ability to go out into the workplace. It will also develop your analytical, research, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Level 3 Diploma/Extended Diploma in Hospitality. The 90 Credit Diploma in Hospitality is equivalent to one and a half A Levels; the Extended Diploma is equivalent to three A Levels.
Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English (if applicable).
You will learn through a mixture of taught lessons, group work and practical activities and this will be applied to actual events and activities within the Hospitality industry. Assessment is via coursework which may take the form of written assessment, short presentations on given topics, role-play or group work for each unit.
