You will be producing everything from TV programmes or short films to radio programmes, film trailers, music videos, websites and social media content. It is an exciting and fun programme that will develop your skills in all areas of the media.

You will be fully supported throughout the length of the programme to ensure you not only achieve but you also enjoy your time with us.

The programme is full time and you should expect to be in college up to 4 days a week. The good news is that there are no 9am starts!

Course programme

The course is for anyone who wishes to explore the exciting and dynamic digital world of Creative Media. Your creativity and flair will be harnessed in the design and production of media products used within the industry. It includes a wide range of disciplines including filming and editing, production techniques, digital animation, interactive media and radio.

You will also have the chance to work on our very own online/DAB radio station JAMM Radio or with community TV channel That’s Solent, who are based within our media department. That means you can combine your study with real, valuable work experience to ensure that you have all the skills that universities and employers demand.
In Year 1 you will gain the Level 3 90 credit diploma in Creative Media Production.
In Year 2 you will gain the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production.

The qualification is equivalent to 3 A-Levels.
You will learn in a variety of ways. There will be practical demonstrations, skills workshops and formal taught sessions. Assessment is by coursework portfolio. Your work will be graded as either Pass, Merit or Distinction.
