Level 3 CACHE Diploma for the Early Years Education & Care (EYE)

This qualification is awarded by CACHE and is made up of 27 mandatory units which are based on skills and knowledge. These units cover a range of subjects including promote healthy lifestyles for children through exercise, understanding the value of play in early years and using observation, assessment and planning to promote the development of children. You will attend a nursery for work experience two days a week in order to gain practical experience in a real work environment where an assessor will visit you to observe and assess your working practice. English and Maths GCSE will be studied by learners who have not previously achieved these subjects and additional study for these GCSEs will be provided and are a requirement of programme attendance.You will learn through a mixture of lectures and practical work experience. You will be required to attend College three days a week and a work placement for two days a week. All units will be internally assessed using a range of methods. This could include direct observation within the workplace, professional discussion or written tasks set by CACHE.
