The following units are covered: Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon Provide body electrotherapy treatments Provide body massage Provide facial electrotherapy treatments Working in beauty related industries Client care and communication in beauty-related industries Apply Individual Permanent Lashes Provide Massage using Pre-blended Aromatherapy Oils Provide self tanning You will also learn how to advise on beauty treatments and products, as in most salons and spa's you will need to handle queries and sell a range of products. The VRQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy is an internationally recognised qualification within the beauty industry and will allow you to gain employment within the beauty industry. Your theory and practical work will be continually assessed throughout the course. A portfolio will be built up containing practical assessments, mandatory exams and workbooks. The course is a careful balance of theory and practical work. An insight into the career prospects of beauty therapy can be gained when we visit the industrys largest Beauty Exhibition in London, as well as having visiting speakers from major product companies and a college department industry week.Your theory and practical work will be continually assessed throughout the course. A portfolio will be built up containing practical assessments, workbooks and mandatory test papers.
