The Animal Management Unit is utilised throughout your course to help you develop a wide range of skills. These include practical hands-on skills looking after animals and also the wider skills needed in the workplace, such as teamwork and, in your second year on the Extended Diploma, supervising others. These are achieved through practical sessions during your timetable and also animal duties. Work experience and duties take place outside normal college hours and will include early morning duties, holidays and weekends throughout the course.
