  • I attended the course in July 2021, it was a lovely day spent with like-minded therapists. Debbie is very experienced and knowledgeable. She is particularly helpful during the practical sessions, making sure that each of us were happy with the massage techniques and positioning of therapist and client. I enjoyed completing the workbook at home, it helps to reinforce what was learned on the day, and is a good reference tool. Everything was explained well in terms of case study requirements and using IHM in different scenarios. Would recommend this course as an additional skill for therapists.

Indian Head massage (IHM) is a standalone 45 minute treatment that is very popular with clients. The treatment involves massage techniques being applied to the upper back, shoulders, neck, arms, face, head and scalp areas, usually whilst they are in a seated or forward leaning position. It is excellent for relieving stress and tension to these areas which can therefore help with headaches, eye strain, and pain and discomfort. It also leads to general feelings of wellbeing and calm.
There are 16 Guided Learning Hours for this CPD course, which includes some home study, the day in class, and your 3 case studies. Therefore, this course attracts 14 CPD points from FHT (6 for attending the course, 3 for completing case studies, and 4 for the home study), 15 CPD points from PR, and 15 CPD points from the AOR.
