Course Content

Like the challenge of repairing and building computers? Do you want to set up your own IT network and link it to other networks? Want to work on live servers, and troubleshoot computer problems? Then this is the course for you.

The focus of this course is to give you the skills and knowledge to get a good job and career in the IT support field.

Topics on this course include:

• Access to Server 2008, voice over IP, Telecoms, Virtualisation
• IT technical support
• IT systems troubleshooting and repair
• Maintaining computer systems
• Networked systems security
• Communication and employability skills for IT
• Managing networks
• Installing and maintaining computer hardware
• Raspberry PI Programming and Configuration

Students on this course will also gain access to the Microsoft Academy Qualifications.

Entry Requirements

4 GCSEs grade C or above to include English and Mathematics. BTEC Level 2 qualification, NVQ Level 2 or VRQ Level 2
