The course syllabus covers:
Roles and responsibilities of a first aider.
Scene survey
Dealing with an unconscious child/infant that is not breathing. (CPR and the use of a DEFIB)
Dealing with a choking child/infant
Dealing with seizures
Dealing with an unconscious child/infant that is breathing (recovery position)
Dealing with wounds & bleeding
Dealing with shock
Dealing with minor injuries, bites and stings
Dealing with fractures, dislocations and sprains & strains
Dealing with Head & spinal injuries
Dealing with eye injuries
Dealing with poisoning
Dealing with burns & scalds
Dealing with anaphylaxis
Dealing with medical conditions: Diabetes, meningitis, asthma, febrile convulsions

All those that work with or care for young children.
Ideal for Child minders, nannies, children nursey workers, primary school workers

No prior knowledge is required. All training is given throughout to all experiences.
Delegates need to be physically fit, as a lot of the techniques need to be performed on the floor. Delegates must demonstrate that they can do these techniques on the floor.
There is also a written assessment paper at the end of day 2, delegates must be able to read and write. Help can be given if required

If you require to book a place, a deposit would be required. Final payment is expected by finish of the course

There are a lot of practical elements to the course, and delegates must demonstrate they can perform the techniques.
Also, at the end of the course on day 2, there is a written assessment paper to show full understanding of the syllabus
