Advanced Diplomas - Two-year course
The new Advanced Diploma in Society, Health and Development is suitable for students who would like to work in a variety of areas such as youth work, social work, childcare, health care and community justice.
It will give you an opportunity to develop personal skills such as problem-solving, decision-making and effective communication while applying the knowledge you are learning to work-related settings. You will have the opportunity for 20 days of work experience.
You will also learn how to work in a team and the skills behind communicating with colleagues and service users.
Careers and Further Studies
On completion of the Advanced Diploma, students can progress on to university programmes in areas such as Social Work, Early Years and Health, or pursue employment in related areas.
General Entry Requirements
Students will need the following:
1. An average GCSE points score of 4.7 calculated from your eight best GCSEs or equivalent vocational qualifications but must include GCSE Maths and English Language.
2. At least five GCSEs at grade C or above which must include GCSE English Language.
