Course Content

This qualification is ideal for experienced and qualified beauty professionals who work unsupervised, and are looking to run their own beauty salon. It is also suitable for existing salon managers who wish to enhance their understanding of the theory behind successful salon management.

This comprises mandatory and optional units. 12 credits from the mandatory unit must be achieved, plus a minimum of 27 credits from the optional group A (of which a minimum of 22 credits must come from Level 4 units). Plus a minimum of 10 credits from the optional unit group B.

For each mandatory and optional unit chosen candidates must complete an assignment. These will be a mix of practical tasks, and knowledge and understanding tasks.

Candidates should also be in work or have access to work experience to complete this qualification.

• Quality management of client care in the beauty sector

• Salon management

• Advanced epilation techniques

• Laser and light treatments for hair removal

• Laser and light treatments for skin rejuvenation

• Provide electrical epilation

Entry Requirements

Level ?2 qualification, NVQ Level 2 or VRQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy or Nail Services plus GCSE grade C in English
