Level 6 Career Development Guidance

The Career Development Guidance course has been specifically designed for those working in professional roles providing career guidance and development to clients, and who are required to apply career guidance theories and models to support clients in making realistic and informed decisions and plans regarding new learning or training opportunities and career planning. This course will suit those working in:

External agency and voluntary service signposting roles
Roles in other organisations that require the provision of career advice and guidance, information, employability support and signposting, as part of a broader role.
The National Careers service

The course is related directly to your job role and helps you to reflect on your performance at work and review your working practices. It provides a personal development opportunity and enhances efficiency within your organisation.
Candidates must achieve a minimum of 60 credits. Please remember all course material is available online 24 hours a day

Entry Requirements
All candidates must be in appropriate role which enable them to generate evidence at this level from their day to day work.
All students are required to have a good standard of English and Maths or have worked on a course at a similar level.
How will I be assessed?
There is no requirement to attend college. Your Assessor will assess you in your workplace, they will provide an induction onto your online portfolio and through subsequent contact, will carry out observations of you at work, obtain testimonies from other people that you work with and carry out professional discussions with you, set knowledge questions and use appropriate work product.
How long is the course?
It is expected that the qualification will take up to 24 months to achieve however, candidates work at their own pace so can achieve as quickly as they wish, taking into account contact with their Tutor we would recommend the course to be complete within 12 months.
