Therefore you need to be able to understand information in written and numerical form and to manipulate it effectively under time pressure.

What could I do with a qualification in this subject?
Although you do not need an A level in Accounting to study the subject at degree level, students do often find it useful to have mastered the basics on this course before going on to University to read finance, business or management.

It is also very useful to have an understanding of accounting and finance if you are planning to run your own business, whatever type of business it might be.
