Method of assessment
Two thirds of the course is assessed through portfolio evidence completed throughout the year, and the remaining third is assessed by examination in January or June of each year.

Why choose this course?
This course is for you if you enjoy a style of learning that incorporates investigative work into real leisure organisations and practices. The practical emphasis provides you with the skills to produce high quality reports, presentations and practical demonstrations. There is a large coursework element and you need to become self-motivated, working well individually and with others in team situations on occasion. This course will suit students who enjoy the application of theory to authentic practical situations.

What will I study?

In addition the course enables you to become practically involved in event planning and outdoor adventure activities.

Students have access to appropriate additional qualifications including coaching awards, First Aid qualifications, Customer Service qualifications and involvement in community projects.
