Course programme
School leavers with learning disabilities who wish to progress onto further college courses and develop skills for training and work but who need a transition period to build confidence, independence and key skills. Students need to be working at Entry Level 1-2 at basic skills including literacy, numeracy, ICT and communication.
What qualifications or experience do I need ?Prospective candidates need to be working at Entry Level 1-2 at basic skills including literacy, numeracy, ICT and communication. Candidates are individually assessed for their suitability against these criteria, the expected course content and qualification offer.
What will I study ?Literacy Numeracy ICT Healthy Living with cooking Skills for Independence Vocation Unit Group and Individual Tutorial Personal Development Project Work Skills for Work Work Experience
How will I be assessed ?Interview, pre-view week, initial diagnostic assessment. All students work towards their own learning goals & ILPs to progress and achieve which is recorded and celebrated through the Edexcel Certificate.
What qualifications could I achieve ?Edexcel Certificate in Skills for Independence and Work E2
