Taking a slightly more studious approach to the traditional pub crawl, we pay a visit to a handpicked selection of some of central London’s most fascinating and architecturally interesting pubs. We’ll delve into some of the quirky and murky histories of the capital’s favourite watering-holes, including some Renaissance and Victorian gems. As well as exploring the architecture, we’ll find out about the artists and writers who occasionally liked to stop there in for a swift half (or two): their lives, their work and perhaps one or two of their exploits they might have preferred to forget.
The tour will be a mixture of exterior and interior visits. The opportunity will be presented to get a drink in a few of the pubs, as time allows - although we won’t manage to stop in each one, or we’d never finish the tour!
Please note: There is no requirement to consume alcohol and the pace of the group will determine the number of pubs visited.
