      Course outline
Our MA in Education is a one year, part-time course for teachers and school leaders to develop expertise in the field of education through critical evaluation of research and scholarship. The course builds on learning from a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and consists of 3 modules of study. Candidates can start the MA immediately after their PGCE or at a later stage. The course consists of a literature review, which informs a research project to explore an educational issue with a view to improving the candidate’s own professional practice or that of others. The study culminates in a dissertation involving a candidate’s own project in their school or research in a wider field of education.

What I would highlight: After finishing an undergrad there, I decided to come back for a masters degree. It’s definitely a great place, with excellent teachers and amazing people to meet. The university is located in a small market town which allows you to focus on your studies. In addition to this, don't be fooled by the town’s first sleepy impression --students there still know how to have fun. Best years of my life!
