Making Besom Brooms

During the course attendees will be able to make a besom broom and understand the materials needed and how to harvest them No previous experience needed

Course Content:
• Course administration/ tea or coffee/introductions
• Discussion on appropriate and traditional materials used for broom heads and handles. The mythology behind brooms, their uses and the materials will also be explored.
• Start preparing broom heads.
• Start preparing Broom handles and cut to length.
• Bond typing
• Uniting the head and the handle
