Manual Handling CIEH

The Chartered Institute of Environmental health (CIEH) is the UK’s leading awarding body for vocational qualifications in food safety, health and safety and environmental protection. This training includes the principles of manual handling and the practical application of the principles. The principles provide the underpinning knowledge required to minimise the risks associated with manual handling whilst practical exercises provide the opportunity to apply the principles of safer handing to everyday manual handling tasks. Manual Handling courses are regularly scheduled at Hydrex Training Centres and can also be delivered at customers premises as a dedicated course. Dedicated courses provide the opportunity to highlight specific manual handling tasks relevant to the work of the attendees. Who Should Attend? This Level 2 award is designed to benefit anyone who may need to carry out any manual handling activities at work. Duration and Approach The duration of this course is 1 day and includes theory sessions and practical sessions to create an engaging and interesting learning environment. Assessment At the end of the training there will be a multi choice examination and a practical assessment. Certification Awarded Successful candidates will be awarded a CIEH Level 2 Award in Manual Handling Principles and Practice by the CIEH.
