This one year, one evening a week, Level 2 marine engineering certificate is designed for candidates in the marine industry looking to gain or improve their qualifications. The course will also be a great starting point for anyone wanting to train as a marine engineer.

About this course

Candidates for the qualification will require GCSE's in English, Maths and a Science based subject at grades C, previous engineering experience will be considered.

Course Content

To gain the Marine Engineering Qualification you will work towards the following components:

Units to be studied are:

Unit 201: Introduction to the marine industry
Unit 208: Servicing and maintenance of marine engines.
Unit 203: Marine engineering processes and principles
Unit 209: Servicing and maintenance of marine propulsion systems

On completion of the above units you will be awarded the C&G 2463-02 Level 2 Certificate in Marine Construction, Systems Engineering and Maintenance
