Course programme
In Core Maths students you will extend your knowledge of topics such as algebra and trigonometry as well as calculus The course content serves as an important foundation for other branches of mathematics, physical and social sciences
How will I be assessed?Internal assessment will involve weekly homework totalling up to 4-5 hours per week, weekly short tests based on previous week's homework assessed once every half term and mock exams External assessment will involve three exams - one for each module Each exam is one and a half hours long and is worth thirty-three percent of the final AS Grade
What may it lead to?A-Level Maths is highly regarded by employers, especially those looking for trainee accountants, and universities (A study has found that young people with A-Level Maths earn 8% more than their peers)

Course FeesIf you’re aged 16-18 when you start your programme and you are taking a course leading to a qualification, the tuition and exam fees are free However, there may be additional costs for personal kit/uniform, books and trips dependent upon what you are studying
