You must have a basic ability in the four rules of number to Entry Level 1, and a real desire to improve your mathematical skills. Regular attendance is essential as this course is continuously assessed throughout the year.

About the Course
This one-year course will cover:
• Basic arithmetic in the four rules of number.
• Working with money.
• Looking at time.
• Using a calculator.
• A basic look at statistics and shape.
Course Aims
This course aims to improve your basic numeracy skills.
What are the entry requirements?
How is the course assessed?
Eight units are studied. Each unit is assessed in class by putting together a folder of work and by taking a short test. Each unit is individually certified; success in all eight units is required to gain the Entry Level qualification.
Fees
No Course Fees for Under 19's. Over 19's must pay, or claim Level 2 or Level 3 Entitlement for FREE courses .
What next?
An Entry Level Certificate can lead you on to the Free Standing Mathematics Qualification.
