Course programme

The main areas we will cover are: algebra; calculator use; trigonometry; physical units; expressing large and small numbers; vectors; and basic calculus. There will be some opportunity to tailor the exact material covered to the needs of the students and their specific areas of interest within physics.

Teaching will be done using a whiteboard and projector, including class discussion and exercises both alone and in groups. Sheets of practice questions to consolidate each lesson's material will be given at the end of each lesson, and we will discuss the answers to them at the start of the following session.
