It also provides choice to those wishing to study a particular area of the industry. Suitable for: Our courses have been designed using business management modules in conjunction with specialist agricultural and food modules and will provide a specialist qualification for managers and those working in, or hoping to enter the agricultural and food industries.

About this course

A first degree in a relevant discipline is preferred, but not essential, plus 3 years relevant work experience. Proficiency in English to the level of 6.5 IELTS or equivalent is also required.

Course programme

The agricultural and food industries are currently undergoing significant changes and have to work in a more market orientated environment in order to fulfil consumer expectations and increasing environmental concerns. Those working in these industries will require a range of management skills, a strategic perspective and familiarity with the policy environment. Food Policy and Business Environment (Food Business Management Stream)
Food Retail Management (Food Business Management Stream)
Methods of Delivery and Assessment This programme is a collaboration between the Aberdeen Business School at the Robert Gordon University, and the Scottish Agricultural College (SAC). Business management modules will be delivered by the Business School and the specialist agricultural and food modules by the Scottish Agricultural College, at their Craibstone campus in Aberdeen. SAC students will join the full time and distance learning cohorts within the Aberdeen Business School MBA in Management programme.
The courses are available full-time or part-time by online distance learning through the RGU virtual campus.
