Course programme

You will be expected to achieve at least 40% in each academic year in order to pass, as well as other requirements (see Teaching and Assessment).

All Mechanical Engineering students spend the first two years following the same core programme of studies, which provides the fundamental knowledge and intellectual and practical skills that are required by all mechanical engineers.

Your third year is spent on industrial placement and the fourth year is spent covering specialist mechanical and nuclear engineering modules.

Details of core and optional modules will be added in the near future, and in the meantime information on the core programme of studies can be found on the page for MEng Mechanical with Nuclear Engineering.
