FdA graduates must be experienced in time-based media and demonstrate competence to an appropriate level to enter the Honours-level year. An applicant's suitability will be explored at interview and through the submission of a showreel or other vehicle.

Theoretical aspects will be explored through a dissertation or equivalent. Successful applicants will need to demonstrate their willingness and readiness to undertake extended academic writing. This work is supported by a bridging unit in the summer prior to enrolment and by the LCC Study Support Department.

Students can expect to develop their practice work within an understanding of its theoretical and industrial context.
