About this course

You do not need prior experience but an interest in a broad range of media is essential. You will be asked to both discuss and write about parts of the media industry. You need to enjoy working with others, have creative ideas and an open mind to learning different techniques, skills and technical use of equipment. You will need to attend College for an interview and be able to demonstrate an interest in the media. You will need at least 3 GCSEs or a Level 1 Introductory Diploma in Art, Design and Media at merit or above.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment is by assignments, class work, group work, oral presentations, projects, and formal examinations. Students also have regular meetings with a personal tutor to discuss progress and to help plan studies. Additional support, help and guidance is also available from the Guidance Team or from our Study Buddies (a network of students offering help to other students with their studies)

What will it cost?

If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances, you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out when you apply.
