What is Meditation?
Meditation is a mind that focusses on a virtuous, positive object and is the main cause to experience mental peace. Through meditation we can learn to identify the suffering and difficulties with our own mind and remove them by changing our inner experience and understanding.
Why Meditate?
We all experience problems and difficulties every day and identify a person on situation as the cause of our suffering. Buddha teaches that our problems and suffering actually arise from within our own mind cause by delusions, negative states of mind such as anger, attachment, jealousy etc. If we can identify and remove these negative states of mind by replacing them with positive states our problems will naturally cease. Meditation is the method to do this.
Time: 7.30 - 9pm.
An introduction to meditation practises that we can use in our daily life to help us let go of problems and find some peace and happiness.
You can attend each session individually or as a series.
Simply Turn up. Each week is self-contained.
