2. Course description Designed for trade union representatives or members who want to increase their awareness of mental health, this short course will give you a good understanding of how the workplace can affect employees and help you improve policies for your members who may suffer from mental health problems. Over the course of three days, you'll complete a number of engaging units to help you develop a better understanding of both mental health in general and work related mental health issues more specifically. You'll also explore disability discrimination law and focus on how it applies to people with mental health. You'll complete the short course by producing an action plan to work with both members and employers in the development of a strategy for mental health issues in your place of work.
