Course programme

The Program Microfinance is an influential and fast-growing field in economic development. It has a record of success in promoting financial resilience, reaching the excluded, empowering women and developing the capacity of small groups of people to take control of their own lives. The program would allow microfinance staff to develop the practical skills necessary to improve the performance of their organisation. As microfinance markets grow more mature and competitive microfinance managers must be equipped with an up to date knowledge and tools to strengthen their microfinance institutions and be able to cope with the challenges of growth, complexity and competition. The Summer Academy is designed to provide a comprehensive programme for microfinance practitioners. We put strong emphasis on combining both microfinance excellence with the experience and know-how of the traditional financial sector. The intensive training programme prepares the microfinance practitioners for the challenges of serving microfinance clients in changing and increasingly competitive environment. In a nutshell, our summer academy is a perfect opportunity to give you a high quality technical knowledge, build up a worldwide network and share your practical experience. Faculty The programme will be taught by experts who have the knowledge and ability to bring the most up-to-date research to the attention of professionals. Two training consultants would be attached to deliver this training. English proficiency The teaching programme assumes that participants will be fluent in English. Cost The cost for this training is £1000.00. • Tuition - £750.00 • Accommodation (3 days) - £250.00 There are a number of Foundations that may be able to provide grant funding to eligible institutions in Asia, Africa, Latin America, Far East etc. Certificate in Microfinance Delegates who are interested in completing the certification program in Microfinance would have to complete a practical project that will be assessed by Guglielmo Marconi University.
