Here I have great support, engaging placements and they set me up for my future in Midwifery. We spent 50% of our time in theory so it involves university, clinical skills lab and classroom lessons. And the other 50% in placement; we do our ‘chosen trusts’, each working in groups of 5 or 6.

About this course
As a leading provider of midwifery training, our degree offers a perfect mix of theory and practice. 50% of the course is practical and carried out in our partner NHS hospitals which include some of London's leading maternity units. Many of our graduates also start their careers with their placement host. The theoretical component prepares you for every aspect of the midwife's role, from learning the essential skills required to support families to prepare for parenthood to developing a thorough knowledge of antenatal and postnatal care. Upon graduation you will be armed with the confidence to offer counselling, guidance and care to women at all stages of pregnancy, from the initial hospital visit through to the 28th day following birth.
Interviews, entrance tests, portfolios and auditions
Our admission team will contact you within four weeks of your UCAS application to inform you whether you have been shortlisted.
If your application is successfully shortlisted, you will be invited to attend a maths and English test at the University's Hendon campus. These tests are compulsory even if you meet our Maths and English GCSE application requirements.
If you pass these tests, you will be invited to attend an interview.
